2nd Grade: Stained Glass Snowmen

We start off with a 9x12 piece of rice paper, sprayed with water.  Then with watercolors, we dipped our brush in water, then watercolor paint, then dipped in onto the rice paper (in patches) until the whole sheet was covered.  Next we sprinkled on salt and let dry.  The next day we used cut or torn paper collage to create our snow and snowmen.  Third day we add border (4 strips of paper glued around edge) and glitter.  You can't see in this pic, but we punched 2 holes in the top and added yarn, so that they could hang from a window.  They look so cool when against the light.
